SHECLISMO joins Cycling Made Real

7/13/2011 SHECLISMO is pleased to announce its affiliation with Cycling Made Real, an organization focused on growing the number of women racers and the fields in which they have to compete as well as breaking down the barriers to participation by offering clinics and creating novice friendly environments.

As part of our participation, we have committed to developing an 8-race cyclocross series for Fall 2011with races in Nebraska, Kansas and Iowa. The focus will be on category 4 and 3 women racers.

Here in the midwest we truly suffer from teeny women's fields and a few of us have long thought that picking a set number of races in which to invest more resources as opposed to thinly spreading those resources over a plethora of lightly attended events would be a good idea to try.

Stay tuned for more information on the upcoming.......

Representing on Omaha singletrack

We rolled a crew of 7 women with fat tire bikes up to Tranquility park in Omaha last night. Thanks to THOR for the treats afterwards...we had a blast! As Sydney said, "Any more fun and it would be illegal."
