Develop rocket-like power by riding TT's!
For those of you wanting to improve your strength and speed this year, consider doing these time trials with Tom Woods. They're being held on Tuesday evenings. I won't be able to join until May, but they're great practice as you will find yourself working harder than you would on your own, but you will not be riding in a group, so it's much safer. GIVE IT A TRY. The coolest thing is that because of the staggered start, everybody finishes at about the same time. SAFE. Group ride to and from location. GREAT WAY to make use of your road bike.

Everyone meets up at Joyride Bicycles (16th & Old Cheney) at 6pm to go to the start.

from Tom Woods...

Tomorrow night (TUE 4/3), weather permitting and cancellation posted by 5:00, we will be riding a 15M course.  I have 2 routes established.  One "Alps & Denton Hill" and one "Roller".  We will alternate between these 2 courses for the month of April as some of us gear up for the Omaha Duathlon on April 28.  That race format is 2.5M run - 15M bike - 2.5M run on a VERY flat course.  So we will ride, Alps on 4/3, Rollers on 4/10, Alps on 4/17 and Roller on 4/24.
Here are the links to the 2 courses:
Up & down the Alps and then up Denton hill:  The section along SW 100/98 is newly repaved and used to be part of the state time trial course.

  1. The ride leaves from Joyride at 6:00 with a group warm-up to the start house. The first rider is sent off around 6:30. We then group ride back to Joyride.
